We leave this up to the mother, asking that she gauge her daughters ability to be attentive and participate in activities. Please take into consideration her maturity level.

This circle does brush up against our comfort zone, but such is life. It’s important for our growth and our ability to see ourselves clearly.

So please gauge your daughters readiness for such an experience.

This is common. But first I want to say, Did you know that by the age of 12 it’s estimated that 75% of our time spent with our children has already passed us by.

Their brains are changing and are in a place of growth that is focused upon independence, and a desire to be more with their peers. They crave new experiences, yet often cling to what they know, because it’s comfortable.

However, as their guides it’s important to steer them in ways that help them to see themselves more clearly. To show them healthier ways of being.

They still need us to make decisions for them, creating healthy boundaries, meanwhile giving them space to learn and grow.

This gathering will be a healthy balance of mother-daughter time, personal time and getting to know others.

This experience will give them an opportunity few have ever had. And that is to really look ourselves and examine how we want to be treated and thus how we want to be in the world. It’s important.

We encourage to have a heart to heart talk with her and share how you would love to spend this time with her. Invite her into the adventure, into the excitement of the unknown.

Share with them how it feels to see them growing up so fast and how much this would mean to you .

As for the last retreat, two daughters came who were resistant. By the 2nd day they were so happy they came. And by the end, they didn’t want it to end.

We have offered Discounts and Trades in the past, but honestly very few have held up to their end of the bargain and have followed through with what was needed and expected. So, we will be hiring the help we need, rather than having attendees doing some of those jobs. Plus, we really want our mothers to be focused on being apart of the retreat.

With this, I feel called to say that Retreats are not as glamorous as people think they are. There is so much time and energy the host and facilitators put into this retreat which includes back end and administrative work, planning, purchasing, packing and so much more. It takes a lot of time and money to host a retreat. And as a host and facilitator this retreat is priced to where each person is paid for their services, and the time they put in, plus administration fees.

While we want to support Mommas who are struggling financially, if this is something you really feel called to do, please say a prayer and ask for the resources. Get creative and ask family members to give money to help you all make this happen. Work on a Go-Fund me.
