  • The Teenage years are here and this retreat was a deep dive into the new days of our relationship. This space helped us to face and purge that which did not serve us anymore and to bring forth more authenticity, all while stepping into a new chapter with truth and love. It wasn’t for the faint at heart as so many mommas and daughters had big things to move through. We witnessed each other and were held by wonderful facilitators who held it down while many shared and moved through volumes of emotions.

    The authentic relating games and workshops Kari created were one of the coolest ways I've experienced therapy in a long time. Ecstatic dance & yoga led by Rapheala Fritz got us in our bodies and playful. While Adora’s essential oils opened and expanded us to meet these meaningful moments with greater authenticity. Katt kept us nourished with delicious and nourishing meals, while her songs continue to echo throughout our home.

    Check in at Lodge. Receive an Energetic Clearing of Space. Intention Setting For Sacred Belonging For Daughters, and Mothers are guided into a short and personal Sacred Water Ceremony & Blessing to Set Space for us all.

    After Check In, Set Up Sleeping areas, tent, rooms, etc. Explore & Playtime, Hike, sauna, cold plunge, hot tub. Body paint, henna. (Fruit, Snacks, Tea provided, please bring lunch)

    1pm- Welcome Circle & Grounding in with Yoga

    2pm- Freetime

    4pm- Collective Intention Setting & Bonding Circle to Explore the meaning of Authenticity & Belonging with fun ice breakers and get to know activities.

    8pm -Fire Side Song Circle, Elder Story Shares.

    (Wise Elder Crones will be holding the Circle through the week from their personal sanctuaries, however they will join us for dinner and Fire Circle for the first night, and the last night of the gathering.)

QUESTIONS

  • We leave this up to the mother, asking that she gauge her daughters ability to be attentive and participate in activities. Please take into consideration her maturity level.

    This circle does brush up against our comfort zone, but such is life. It’s important for our growth and our ability to see ourselves clearly.

    So please gauge your daughters readiness for such an experience.

  • This is common. But first I want to say, Did you know that by the age of 12 it’s estimated that 75% of our time spent with our children has already passed us by.

    Their brains are changing and are in a place of growth that is focused upon independence, and a desire to be more with their peers. They crave new experiences, yet often cling to what they know, because it’s comfortable. However, as their guides it’s important to steer them in ways that help them to see themselves more clearly. To show them healthier ways of being.

    They still need us to make decisions for them, creating healthy boundaries, meanwhile giving them space to learn and grow.

    This gathering will be a healthy balance of mother-daughter time, personal time and getting to know others.

    This experience will give them an opportunity few have ever had. And that is to really look ourselves and examine how we want to be treated and thus how we want to be in the world. It’s important.

    We encourage to have a heart to heart talk with her and share how you would love to spend this time with her.

    We have offered Discounts and Trades in the past, but honestly very few have held up to their end of the bargain and have followed through with what was needed and expected. So, we will be hiring the help we need, rather than having attendees doing some of those jobs. Plus, we really want our mothers to be focused on being apart of the retreat.

    With this, I feel called to say that Retreats are not as glamorous as people think they are. There is so much time and energy the host and facilitators put into this retreat which includes back end and administrative work, planning, purchasing, packing and so much more. It takes a lot of time and money to put on a retreat. And as a host and facilitator this retreat is priced to where each person is paid for their services.

    While we want to support Mommas who are struggling financially, if this is something you really feel called to do, please say a prayer and ask for the resources. Get creative and ask family members to give money to help you all make this happen. Work on a Go-Fund me.
